The club is actively working towards Clubmark status. Our regional cricket development director , Rupert Evans, visited the club in late June and expressed great admiration for what we were doing and every aspect of the club. Formal acceditation will follow shortly.
Clubmark is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards.

All of our qualified coaches are qualified in first aid, and have attended courses in Safeguarding and Protecting Children.
Everyone in involved with children is recommended by existing club members, and whether it be coaching, managing youth teams or captaining the club's senior sides undertake a full disclosure CRB check.
There are a number of guidelines issued by the ECB which are important for young developing players to understand, the most important being the Fast Bowling Directives
All players and members are expected to abide by our codes of conduct as a condition of membership
All members should be aware of the Cricket Equity Policy
Senior team captains are expected to be aware of ECB guidelines on best practice when including young players in their teams. In accordance with ECB guidelines children in school year 7 and below are not prmitted to play in senior [open age] cricket. Children in school year 8 must have written parental consent before they can be considered.
Bowling machines should only be used at Cumnor CC under the supervision of an adult ECB level 2 coach . To understand the dangers when using these machines see this video:
